In his speech, Shi Dan, Director of the Institute of Industrial Economics of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and Chairman of the Chinese Association of Industrial Economics, focused on the reasons for compiling the yearbook and holding the seminar: First, we should closely follow the pulse of The Times, promote discipline construction, promote academic exchanges, and promote the paper to be written on the land of the motherland. Qi Yudong, Dean of BNUBS, delivered a speech

Shi Dan, Director of the Institute of Industrial Economics of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and Chairman of the China Association of Industrial Economics, moderated the keynote speech and roundtable discussion.

Jiang Xiaojuan, Professor of University of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, President of China Society of Industrial Economics, former Associate Secretary-General of The State Council, delivered a keynote speech

Professor Jiang Xiaojuan, a famous economist, made a speech entitledIndustrial Digitalization: Digital Integration or Digital Specialization? The keynote speech focused on the changes in industrial organization in the digital age, the choices of enterprises, and the role of the market and government. She believed that in the digital age, the basic issue of whether to use market contracts or enterprise contracts to organize production is more prominent, and the choice of digital integration and digital specialization has become a very important issue of theoretical and practical value. The comparison between the internal coordination cost of integration and the external transaction cost of specialization is the decisive factor in choosing a market contract or a firm contract. It is an inevitable trend that all industries will be deconstructed and reorganized in a digital way. In the process of industrial digital transformation, the government and the market should work in the same direction, and still give play to the decisive role of the market in allocating resources. The government should provide guidance and support with effective public services, improve the digital transformation ability of enterprises, reduce the transformation cost, and promote the transformation of enterprises by demand, and highlight the solution of key and difficult problems. This will enhance China's overall competitiveness in this round of digital transformation.

Round Table Discussion

In the round table discussion, Professor Hong Yongmiao pointed out that industrial economics is a bridge between macro and micro, as well as between the government and the market and enterprises, and industrial policy is the relationship between the government and the market. Chinese scholars can focus on industrial economic policy research and policy evaluation, and devote themselves to providing the academic foundation for policies. Under the background of digitalization, industrial economy includes software, algorithm and other industries, and there is a law of large input and diminishing marginal cost. Corresponding to the increasing marginal income of economics, the law and form of economic operation may change. He suggested learning from foreign industrial economics research experience, obtaining micro data, strengthening international exchanges, and expanding the influence of China's industrial economics.

Professor Liu Youjin pointed out that in the context of high-quality development and digital development, the development of industrial economics has encountered at least two challenges: one is to cope with the great changes not seen in a century, and seek opportunities for accelerating the evolution of the industrial pattern; Second, with the intelligent, green and integrated industry in the context of the development of the digital economy, data has become an important factor of production, which will promote the reconstruction of industrial structure and industrial organization. In the background of digital economy, there are many problems that need in-depth study by Chinese scholars, such as how to build a new industrial organization structure.

Professor Lu Yi pointed out that in the era of economic globalization, industrial supply chains should emphasize efficiency, but in the current realistic background, efficiency and safety should be balanced. Today's theory of industrial organization faces new theoretical challenges. He believed that more attention should be paid to the application of international advanced research models and methods in China's industrial economy research, many research propositions in the era of digital economy provide scholars with excellent materials and objects, and he also put forward his own thoughts and suggestions on the outstanding problems existing in the current domestic academia and solutions.

Professor Qi Yudong pointed out that the digital economy has some new changes in the form of enterprises, driving laws, key factors and other aspects, but it is not an independent economic form, and still relies on the traditional industrial form. In his view, as far as discipline construction is concerned, social sciences such as economics can be rewritten with digital paradigm, and the discipline construction cannot be divorced from the new era background of digital economy, and traditional course content should be enabled, on the one hand, the core course of digital economy should be built, and on the other hand, the focus should be placed on the digitalization of traditional course content.

Professor Song Min pointed out that the most important link between micro enterprises and macro policies is industry and region. The essence of digital economy is to obtain information based on a large amount of data mining, and the acquisition of information greatly improves the efficiency of decision-making. The whole process from data to information and information-driven decision-making will affect the three industries of agriculture, industry and service industry. The difference between digital economy and information economics is that digital technology is a general technology and provides an important channel for industrial development. Industrial economics can be studied more from the angle of information.

Professor Wang Wenju pointed out that industrial economics now has platforms, opportunities and challenges. In the context of digital economy, it is not only necessary to reconstruct industrial economics, but also to accelerate and deepen the integration of theory and practice. In addition, in order to promote the construction of Beijing's digital benchmark city and serve to build a modern industrial system with Beijing's characteristics, Capital University of Economics and Business is reshaping the discipline structure around digitalization and exploring new ideas and new paths for discipline construction under the background of the digital era.

Professor Zhang Hui believes that the report of the 20th National Congress of the Party proposed to accelerate the construction of a modern industrial system, indicating that the strength of the country is closely related to the strength of the industry, and the construction of industrial economics is just in time. For a long time, from the early discussion of the boundary between the industrial market and the enterprise to the current research on the industrial division of labor system, it is a difficult exploration process. In the process of division of labor, transnational enterprises produce vertical separation by blocking knowledge spillover through space. Under the background of digitization, the development of industrial economics needs to be deeply practical, and China's industrial economic theory should also be in line with international standards.

Professor Zheng Xinye believed that there is still a lot of room for improvement in the construction of the discipline of industrial economics, in order to cultivate globally competitive talents, the faculty team is facing the pressure of artificial intelligence, and the construction of independent knowledge system needs the support of basic research. In the process of discipline development, scientific literacy is crucial and needs modern methods and data-driven support, while academic support and communication need to be strengthened. To promote the popularization of industrial economics methodology, it is suggested to give full play to the leading role of China Industrial Economics Society platform at the critical moment of discipline construction.

Cai Hongbo, Associate Dean of BNUBS, presided over the journal alliance and yearbook editing discussion

Shi Dan, Chief Editor of China Industrial Economics Yearbook, briefly introduced the compilation process, editorial structure, content features, distribution and communication of the yearbook. She pointed out that the yearbook focuses on covering all aspects of the development of industrial economics, hoping that it can provide useful references for the study, research and work of all sectors of government, industry and academia, and welcomes professional opinions and suggestions on the compilation and publication of the yearbook. Editor-in-chief Yang Zhiyong pointed out that China's industrial development strategy and the change of the global industrial development environment have raised a series of important issues for the study of Industrial Economics, and also brought an opportunity for the construction of China's independent industrial economics knowledge system. The yearbook has built a unique form of knowledge sharing and exchange platform for academic colleagues. It is of great significance to the construction of discipline system, academic system and discourse system of Chinese economics.
